Anne Marie Bratton

Anne Marie Bratton is a photo-real artist, who works in oil, graphite, and watercolors. She was raised in New York City, where she lived for 30 years. Currently, she is a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, and of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. After graduating from Rollins College, she worked as the Director of Advertising and Public Relations for the Ralph Lauren Corporation in New York City.

 

Anne Marie’s art career began with her art studies at Rollins College, and continued with renown art teacher Helen Silvestry focusing on photo-real drawing in Fort Worth.  She continues mastering her skills with Laert Aleksi at Sabka Studio, as well as having studied at the Texas Academy of Figurative Arts.  Anne Marie has done many commissions for the Kimbell Art Museum, The Amon Carter Museum, The Van Cliburn Competition (where she was featured as the sole artist in Bass Hall), the Fort Worth Zoo, the Fort Worth Dallas Ballet, Artists Against Aids, the Fort Worth Country Day School, The Fort Worth Garden Club where her oil painting “White French Tulips” was commissioned for that year’s invitations, notecards and programs.  Anne Marie has also completed many commissions for private homes and patrons.  

 

In Fort Worth, Anne Marie is a member of Executive Board of the Modern Art Museum (where she has co-chaired the Modern Art Museum Auction) as well as of the Kimbell Museum’s Collectors circle and the Van Cliburn Competition. She also serves on the Living Legends Committee to benefit the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

 

In Nantucket, Anne Marie is a Board Member of the Nantucket Historical Association, The White Heron Theater, The Comedy Festival, and she serves on the committee for the Boston Pops concert event benefitting the Nantucket Cottage Hospital.  Anne Marie is an artist, patron, gala chairman and board member of the Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) and her art has been shown and sold at Nantucket’s prestigious AAN Summer Gala in both the live and the silent auctions.  While on island, Anne Marie has enjoyed taking classes from popular Nantucket artists such as Elizabeth Congdon, Katie Trinkle Legge, Kevin Dadoly, Jan Munro, Anne Baxter Sutherland, John Carruthers, Mary Emery Lacousiere, Lisa Sawlit, Erka Christensen Scully, Barbara Capizzo and many more. In Nantucket, her work is exhibited at the Cecilia Joyce and Seward Johnson Gallery as well as at The Susan Lister Locke Gallery.

ARTIST / DESIGNER EXPERIENCE

2018                     Chaired & Co-Designed Van Cliburn Ball

2015-Present       Create & Donate Art annually to the Kimbell Museum's Red Party Silent Auction.

2013 - present      Artists Association of Nantucket - Artist Member and Gala Chair   Sold many pieces of art through their gallery and their Gala live and silent auctions.

2003 - present    Founder of The Leaves Collection is notecard business with self-designed extensive photo-real pencil sketch drawings.

2013                     Van Cliburn Gala  Featured Artist  Solo Exhibition.  Commissioned to do 11 graphite drawings for auction, prints and note cards sold in Bass Hall.

2010                     Fort Worth Zoo commission 12 Asian Elephant drawings as a gift for 25k donors and up.

2003-2008          Artists' Christmas  Created & donated framed Graphite to Artists Christmas Competition & Auction.        

2003 & 2004       Fort Worth Zoo Ball Silent Auction Created & donated framed Graphite Art for silent auction.
